Hello, I am Donald and my wife, Laura and I have five children, Taylor 13, Tydus 12, Aaron 11, Makayla 3 and lastly Madison 6 weeks.  We started raising boer goats around 2001 with the purchase of a few percentage goat from Mississippi.  As the boer goat herd grew we got the three oldest interested in the local 4-H goat club showing their young does and whethers.  From there we now carry 20-30 show goats to 6-8 shows a year.  Our goal is to raise quality boer goats and to improve our herd each year.  By quality I mean goats that meet the breed standards and require as little maintenance as possible.  Goats that require constant care go to the meat market.  With the purchase of out new herd sire, RRD S06, we hope to add quality red and paint boer goats  for show circuit.

We are very fortunate to have a good group of 4-H kids in our Lauderdale County Alabama goat club.  The kids all work hard and are able to see the rewards for the work.  We hope the group continues to grow so the our younger children may have the opportunity to show their boer goats in the future.  We try to have enough show whethers each year so that the kids can show and to still have enough to sell in this ever-growing whether show market.
